As a Blogger, I occasionally receive products to try out. Such was the case with the new Galaxy Note 3 by Samsung. Verizon Wireless recently loaned me the Galaxy Note 3 to research the best apps that will help my Thanksgiving holiday run smoother and I have to say it was a breeze to use.
In addition to the speedy searching and downloading of apps, this phone has a multitude of features. Listed below are a few of my favorite features and apps.
S Health –Features the walking mate step counter, food diary, exercise tracker and more.
Samsung Hub – Buy and rent movies, television shows, books and more.
The Flip Board – Allows you to create homepage content specifically based on personal interests.
The Hands Free Mode – Allows incoming text and caller information to be read aloud.
One Hand Operation – With such a large screen, the one hand operation allows the device to be held in one hand while working the calculator, phone keypad and other screens.
S Note – Allows you to take notes using the stylus pen and saves them until needed.
Galaxy Gear Compatible – The Note 3 will pair with the new Samsung Galaxy Gear Watch allowing you to have access to phone, texts, emails, apps and more via a wristwatch.
Increase Touch Sensitivity – This feature allows you to use the touch screen while still wearing gloves.
This list is truly just the tip of the iceberg. There is a ton of other settings and features that could give this phone the “Phablet” nickname that is becoming quite popular with certain devices.
I really enjoyed testing out this phone and using the multitude of features it has. The 5.7 HD screen makes reading and watching content on it easy and fun but also makes it a little big for carrying it around in your pocket. It did however fit just fine in my purse and with the compatibility of the watch; I am strongly considering switching to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 when it is time for my phone upgrade since this phone is only on loan and I have to send it back!
